Staff benefits

As a staff member of Curtin University there are a number of benefits available to you via these schemes and services:

Health Services

The Curtin Health Services Centre incorporates a doctor's surgery where you can make appointments with either a doctor or nurse. The service is confidential and offers comprehensive general practice medical care. Nursing staff are also available to assist in the treatment of accidents and injuries that may occur on campus.

Counselling and disability services

Employees at all Curtin campuses have access to professional psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists who can assist with personal counselling issues. Access to these facilities is though the University Counselling Service.

Healthy Lifestyle Program

The Healthy Lifestyle Program is available to all Curtin staff members. You can participate before work, during your lunch break, after work or on weekends. Time in lieu can be used to participate in classes if approved by your supervisor.

We host a number of events within the Healthy Lifestyle Program including the Freeway Bike Hike, Bridges Fun Run, City to Surf, Curtin Community Golf Day and the Interdepartmental Sport Challenge.

Salary Packaging

Salary Packaging is an option available to you if you have either an ongoing or a fixed term contract. It allows you to sacrifice some gross (post-tax) salary in return for services or goods that are charged pre-tax, saving you the equivalent of the tax rate you would normally pay in that portion of your income.

Curtin University Early Childhood Centre

The Curtin University Early Childhood Centre provides child care services for staff, students and the community. The centre provides care for children from birth to five years and operates extended hours to accommodate families who work.
